The Runway Run, Budapest Airport’s charity running race, started off for the tenth time on Saturday. The airport operator will again donate proceeds from the invitation-only race, which will amount to several million forints, to charity this year.
Fourteen athletes will represent Hungary at the Olympic Winter Games in Beijing (February 4-20). The members of the short track team have good chance for medals.
Budapest Airport handed over more than 3.8 million HUF to the SUHANJ! Foundation, which supports sporting opportunities for handicapped and disabled people. The donation was collected from the entry fees of the Runway Run charity race, organized at the airport for the 9th time this year.
